Holy crap there is a mutant dog-cat thing with a fireball on its tail in the Nexus! Not to fear though. This isn't some sort of bloodthirsty killer beast that has been kept locked away by some mad scienti- ... er... okay, so he has been kept locked away by a mad scientist before. But he isn't blood thirsty so there is no need to be afraid of him! ( Read more... )

"Ah, Vincent! Greetings my friend. How are you?"

"Well. And you?" This, of course, is a lie, but Nanaki doesn't have to know that...

Nanaki studies him for a brief moment, narrowing his eye slightly before letting it go. He won't push Vincent if the man doesn't wish to talk about whatever is bothering him, for there is generally something bothering him from Nanaki's past experinces. "I am quite well myself now that I have finally been reunited with Dinne."

"Through correspondence, and with lots of patience." Tifa's got a smile on her face that says she's very happy to see him, but is ignoring actually acting out this happiness until formalities are out of the way.

Nanaki chuckles and gives Tifa his equivalent of a grin. "Patience is a given with these friends I do believe, and great amounts of it." He replies in a mildly teasing tone of voice.

Sephiroth is somewhat pleased to see a Nanaki here, though he's cautious. He's on well enough terms with the one from his world, but he's not sure how this one will react to him.

"Relaxing with friends and family and enjoying it."

Nanaki halfway raises to his feet before pausing, fixing Sephiroth with a glare. There is something about the way this one seems oddly pleased to see him that makes him hestitate, and if anything can be said about Nanaki it is that he rarely charges into anything head-on without thinking it over.

"There is little time for me to fully relax, but it is enjoyable nonetheless." He remarks carefully.

He takes in the movement and Nanaki's glare with a wry smile. "I assume I remained the villain in your world?"

"You assume correctly." Nanaki remarks while slowly sinking back into a seated position.

*Voldo is as haughty as usual when he accosts Red XIII. The mad scientist rubs his chin in thought as he slowly circles the beast. Hmm...Now THAT was DNA you could splice into a killer android! Having finished judging Nanaki like a piece of meat, Voldo decides to answer his questions.* Freedom never lasts long. We are slaves to our desires, after all. *Voldo chuckles mirthlessly.* I have several associates around the world. I find it best to give them constant reminders that I am watching.

Nanaki fixes Voldo with a rather unfriendly glare, flicking his flame-tipped tail like an annoyed cat. "Being a slave to one's desires isn't the same as being a true slave." He states with a slight growl.

((OOC note, it's criminal how little of Red XIII they put in Advent Children.))

*Voldo snickers in an amused fashion.* Perhaps. Perhaps not. I wouldn't trust an unwilling captive to do my bidding in either case. *Speaking of bidding...* I've an offer you may be interested in. One that won't interfere with the freedom you seem so partial toward.

Writing's a good way to keep up. And calling. Visiting's best, of course, if you've got the resources.

And for the freedom thing, well... Use it. It's freedom. Maybe hang back and get used to the idea first, if it's a little much, but don't wait too long, you know?

"Sadly I do not come equipped with the right body type for writing and calling." Nanaki states, waving one of his paws around for emphasis. He contemplates his second answer before nodding once. "It is a bit much to suddenly find myself with so much free time. I haven't been free to do as I wished in several years now." He admits.
