Again, it's a disturbed-looking Ephram in the Nexus. This time he's more angry, but with a side of helplessness. For a while he fidgets near the doorway.

How... he sighs, trying to regain some composure ...how do you deal with someone who angrily and accusingly calls you a "faggot"?

He smiles a little. If only I'd thought of that at the time...

Aside from punching them in the face, you mean?

Well yes, aside from that.

*he shrugs a little* . . .I'm not sure I'd get past punching them in the face, to be honest. I'd probably walk away unless they seemed determined to... continue the conversation.

That's probably the best thing to do, and to forget about it...but it hurt.

I ken't really imagine getting mistaken for firevood or for an old lady...unless the 'mistaken for firevord' vould be in very figurative sense...

I'z missing something, izn't I?

Ah, sorry. The term is a negative slang for a man who likes other men sexually. It's a very prejudiced term, and it's hurt me more than I realized it could.

Vell, you and your husband and mebbe your vife could alvays haf nice family bonding experience turning the hurting around on the guy, if you'z into the sort of fun. Unleses the person matters, of course. Does they?

The person doesn't matter. It was a random stranger who judged us. As for the family bonding... he blushes but grins a little too ...that kind of exhibitionism might be going too far, though on one level it is an appealing idea.

"I ignore them. Unless I feel like a fight, then I accuse them of being jealous."

Ali looks at Ephram for a moment. "First time?"

That's an option I hadn't thought about. I had to keep it together so my husband wouldn't do something nasty, otherwise I would have started a fight.

It...I...yes. It isn't something I expected to ever happen to me.

"It happens to all of us. Hell, I got accused of being a lesbian before I was publically dating anyone. People just like to start trouble. It doesn't usually mean anything other than that they are small, tiny, insignificant things that realize this and want to drag you down to their level."

He gets hugs. "You'll get used to it."

People like to try forcing their narrow beliefs on others.

He sighs. I shouldn't have to get used to it, Ali. That's what hurts more. The world should be better than this.

A little comm beeps on Tron's arm and the Program puts it on loud so Ephram can hear.

"I always say, 'No, I'm a bisexual nymphomaniac, and I still don't want to have sex with you.' And go about my bussiness." Says the rather calm, almost flat voice on the other end.

Tron sighs and shakes his head. "Not really know what your talking about, I would say Cloud's idea seems reasonable."

"And here I had almost given up on finding someone who knew Cloud's whereabouts." Sephiroth might just be smirking somewhat.

((Also that answer? Made me LOL.))

"I...thought everyone knew he was in Radiant Garden." Tron says blinking at the man.

"Sephiroth!

Sephiroth smiles at Tron - it doesn't look entirely nice. "It would seem you were wrong, although perhaps that is due to the fact that I have been ... otherwise occupied lately."

A smirk spreads across his face at the latter comment. "Are you so surprised, Cloud? What a shame - I had almost expected better of you."
