::looks around:: Oh. I'm here.

Well, 'at home,' I'm standing in the 'Jewel of Europa,' specifically the Great Hospital there, hearing Dr. Sun explain how my father got in to be treated after, apparently, being nearly killed by one of the most passionately caring people I've ever known.

Tron frowns sympathetically.

"I...had to deal with the death of my first User a long time ago. I can barely remember most of it, but I was always so lonely. It took me a while to understand things like souls and hearts and how we are always connected." He thanks Ansem and his apprentices for that at least. "I don't think anyone ever really learns to deal with it until the person is already gone."

"Unfortunately, most of the data I have on empires breaking up involves civil war. Maybe the best thing to do is turn it into a constitutional monarchy or a full democracy. Separate the different regions and all."

::Gil just listens and nods a little:: A good point, thank you.

Currently, it is generally believed that the only thing prevented most regional rulers from going to war with nearly every other regional ruler is the fact that Father will have their heads if they do. I don't want to have to be the kind of person Father's had to be, but how does one trust people not to act like kindegarteners with weapons of mass destruction?

She keeps hugging until he's had enough. Gil doesn't get enough hugs under normal circumstances; he certainly needs them now. "Is there anything I can do, for you or for your father?"

::it takes a while to reach the 'enough' point, but they get there eventually::
Thank you. It's something to know that somebody gives a damn in a way that has no political motivation at all. ::breathes markedly:: But it's the best hospital on the continent, and they're doing all they can.
