What on Earth is that aroma coming from that portal? No, no, it's nothing disgusting. In fact it has a sugary-sweet scent to it, like a cake or something similar. Not long after a man steps through it, a bit confused look on his face but no real questioning or freaking out just yet.

What he's wearing is curious though, the garb of a chef as it would ( Read more... )

Ali smells chocolate, and so wanders over to investigate where it's coming from. Oooh, yay cake! She falls to plotting how to steal the whole thing for herself (instead of asking for some, which really would be easier).

Now stealing the whole cake will get a very not happy Ono and that's a scary thing indeed. You know, except for the part where he's scooting a bit away from her. Never was good with women, nope.

She notices his scooting, and decides pestering him a bit before stealing the cake would be even more fun. So she moves closer, smiling brilliantly. "Hello. New around here?"

Oh that might be a bad move as he goes to dart away behind that couch. He seems genuinely afraid of her, blinking as he looks up from behind the couch. "Um, yes..."

"Oh, that's too bad." She shakes her head in a pitying sort of way. "You don't know about the rules about needing food to be inspected then do you? I'm afraid I'll have to confiscate your cake."

((Do feel free to tell me to get Ali the heck away from the cake, by the way. Or that she can run away with it cackling. Whatever works for you.))

Despite the dire fear there there's no way he's going to let her take that cake. First rule, be posessive.

"There is absolutely nothing wrong with that cake and I will not allow you to confiscate it. Nor do I know even if you are an 'official' and I will not give into such demands." A bit posessive of his work, of course.

((If she can get around Ono then by all means. He'll probably not let her though.))

"Well of course you don't know these things, you're new here. And it's an issue of public safety. There's been a lot of violence here lately and we can't risk anyone else getting hurt. You wouldn't be one of those child-hating-wanting-to-kill-us-all types, would you?" She gives him a critical, "I know you're up to something" stare.

Oh no, he's not falling for that. "Issue of public safety? How on Earth could a cake harm someone? Beside the food poisoning deal which I assure you is nothing at all. I am a pâtissier, miss, not a criminal."

"Food does strange things here. I've seen perfectly innocent-looking cookies turn people into animals, or girls into boys, or grownups into kids. I think you're just trying to cause trouble. I'll be keeping my eye on you."

"You do that. You'll see that I do nothing of the sort." He's resisting the urge to huff a bit, not liking the fact he was accused of such nonsense. However Ono moves back over to the cake, keeping a watch on things. No cake stealing on his watch.

Hmph.

Suddenly she looks scared and points behind him. "OH MY GOD IS THAT A DEMONIC DUCK OF SOME SORT?!" It's a last-ditch effort, really, and quite silly. But she wants that cake!

Good try.

Though no luck, he's ignoring her now. You know, she could just ask and he might just be nice enough to let her have a piece. But at this moment he's really not going to let that happen.

She really can't though. That's the thing about LOLs. So now she has to go home and sulk about not stealing a cake and then plot to tie someone to a railroad track.
