Sartorius doesn't appear particularly surprised when he enters the Nexus. He takes a seat at a table on which he places a deck of cards. Then he draws three cards and spreads them out in front of him.
The first one is turned over. "Which society do you belong to?"
The second is turned. "Do you understand your destiny?"
A pause is allowed before the third is revealed and Sartorius smiles. "Have you seen the light?"
