"Non-existent brain surgery has always worked for me in the past."

You just had to go and peak his interest, didn't you?

"Non-existent brain surgery? Oh, do explain."

Oh, now that was a grin to match. "You get all the tools you're going to need. You have to be absolutely sure he knows that you're going to be poking around in there. You put him under, cut his head open, don't do anything and put it all back together. When he comes to and realizes what you've done, he'll drive himself crazy thinking about exactly what you did to him."

He gave a quick nod to that. "The human imagination is a very powerful weapon."

"Oh, I have to agree on that point."

"Why thank you. People condition themselves against physical pain, but psychological is a lot trickier to get by."

And now Revan is offically impressed. Without even pausing once to think about it, he flashes a smile and says, "Have you ever considered employment by the Sith?"

"Not entirely. Crossed my mind once or twice, but didn't really pursue it."

"Pity. It seems we ran out of decent torturers when I died. You are more inventive than what I currently have to work with."

"Yeah, I know what's it like dealing with inferior subordinates." He weighed his options quickly. "And how, pray tell, would one go about employment with the Sith?"

"Normally one would approach or be approached by a low-ranking recruiter." He chuckles. "I would count as the high-ranking one. You fill out a few forms, go through the typical military bootcamp, and depending on your scores and percieved ability can be put through officer's training. The path for the Force sensitive is much the same, with a few slight modifications.

"Either way, you would have to contend with your fellow students in boot, eliminating them in one way or another in order to get the one graduation spot available in your group."

"Interesting. The elimination is hardly an issue."

"Excellent. I would suggest avoiding making friends or mentioning relatives to anyone; they tend to die violently in freak accidents."
