Ephram enters the Nexus looking purposeful, then realizes where he's ended up and sighs a bit. He doesn't really have time for this, since he has been making actual headway on the paperwork. Oh, well. Not much he can do when the Nexus decides to draw him in.

All right, since I'm here...

My good friend, a woman who has been a sounding board, companion, proverbial clue-by-four, and right-hand person for years, has fallen in love. The problem is this. For those familiar with my world, my friend is still plugged-in to the Matrix, while her love lives in Zion. She's to the point of being physically incapable of geting unplugged, and he's been out too long to be reinserted. Basic politics aside, I think the love is returned on his part.

Is this a doomed romance? Would it even be a "real" relationship when they can never be physically together but only meet inside a computer simulation when he is jacked-in?

She wants to let him go, encourage him to find someone else, which to me is a true sign she loves him. I want her happiness as much as I would want a dear sister's happiness.
