Proto is in a much better mood when he returns to the Nexus. He has a box under one arm, leaning against a wall with a smirk.

"How do you deal with an unexpected success?"

And he won't come out and say it, but he's looking for Ashu.

"I see you've defrosted."

"Depends on how you celebrate."

"Press your advantage while you have one. Don't let opponants find out it was unexpected."

"In reference to what?"

"The unexpected sucess you mentioned. That's a long step from being a bot-cicle." He leans against a wall, just as Blues usually would.

"I did a better job at defeating my brother than the old man ever did."

If one is perceptive, they'll notice he doesn't sound as happy about that as one would think.

And Darkman is designed to be very observant when it comes to personality hints, in order to best compile data for mimicry.

"That's not that unexpected."

"Is it really a victory when you're not happy about it, or did you both lose?"

He shrugs and says simply, "The old man's dead." What exactly he's upset about, he's not saying.

"That happens to old humans." And here he screws up a bit. The tone's too flat. Despite his programming, Dark just can't mimic any of the confused feelings Blues had for Wily, not when his own are so near opposite in some respects.

"What about Mega?"

He eyes Dark Man with a frown. "Who are you?"

[darkmimic]

"Would you believe Blues' somewhat more evil twin?"

"I'm whoever I want to be."

[no_heroes_left]

The last comment causes Proto to growl. "Darkman. Figures." And he turns to walk off.

"Blues will be back in four days. He's busy."

"I'd heard Fifth didn't happen in universes where you stayed with the old man. Or is your world an exception?"
