Yuuko looks amused and leans against a wall. Where there is normally a fair amount of cleavage, there is now a perfectly smooth chest, covered by a silk, long-sleeved shirt. She's wearing loose cotton pants, and her/his hair hangs loose over her shoulders ( Read more... )

"Well, take my situation-- I'm usually a woman." She shrugs, grinning.

She laughs. "Yeah, it is. Though I've seen a lot of weird things in my life."

"You don't mind risking your life for a job? Or are you only doing this for her?"

"It is, at that." He smirks. "Could I ask what happened..?"

"Aah, I see. Are there feelings beyond loyalty involved, if I may ask?"

"Well, beautiful, there was this one time that I was a dolphin. A flying space dolphin."

She raises an eyebrow, smirking. "How did that one work out for you?"

"Kinda sucked. I couldn't open a beer or get ladies."

He laughs. "No one else was turned into a dolphin, then? And I can understand the beer thing...Good thing I haven't lost my taste for that." It really hasn't, because he whips out a small flask of something or other from his pockets and holds it out to Greed. "Watanuki got it somewhere. I'd never tried it before, but it tastes remarkable."

"..." Shell-shocked mage. He's not quite able to answer your questions yet, Yuuko.

Y halo thar mage.

Yuuko grins at him. "Hello, Fay-kun! Is everything alright?~"

"...Ah. Y-Yuuko-san." Fay blinks, gathering himself back together admirably, though he's still shaken. More so than he now looks. "Yes, of course! Everything's just fine~"

He laughs and fingers his hair a bit. "I'm glad. No answers to my questions, then?"

"So one time...the nexus was flooded with lots of water and pirates and a sea monster. And some random Mage type guy made me a tropical island with some sand from up his sleeve. It was pretty weird. Sweet, 'cause there was a palm tree and coconuts, but weird. And that was around the time one of my friends was turned into a Snork."

As for the last question, he was utterly serious. "Zoe. Definitely. I'd go through hell and back for that kid. Why? I promised to take care of her and I love her and there's no one else who makes macaroni art the way she does." King thought for a few moments. "And Tonks. I'd probably get hexed for it, but hey...friends risk severe injury and death for friends all the time, right?"

...Right?

"It sounds...strange, yes. Er. A Snork?" She blinks.

She smiles softly. "They both sound lovely. But.. well. I suppose it depends on the friend. Maybe I should rephrase-- what if you were sure you would get severely hurt on a short-term basis?"

"A Snork, yeah. Like...they were these weird looking underwater creature things from a cartoon show a few decades back. Really weird."

The rephrase caused him to shrug and grin a bit. "Short-term basis doesn't sound too bad. I've gotten hurt on a lot more uncertain conditions than that -- and for a lot less noble things than a friend. I guess it all depends on the situation, though. If it came down to either me or the other person getting hurt, for however long actually, I'd rather it was me than them anyday. Mostly because I know I can probably handle it and I hate seeing people I care about get hurt."

He sighs a bit. "Yes, I suppose so. The situation someone I know is in is a bit more complicated, though. But thank you nonetheless," he smiles.

"I came back to life," she grins.

"It seems like you and I are going to be competition, then dearie. I am also in the business of granting wishes."

She raises an eyebrow. "Did you, really. How?"

She smirks. "I suppose we'll see, then. I don't strive to get a profit, however, nor do I want to be the best. I simply grant the wishes of those fate leads to me."

"Well, after I died I went into some sort of limbo... and now here I am, good as new," she let out a little chuckle.

"Oh, isn't that quaint. I myself search out the poor, downtrodden souls of the nexus and give them a hand... nothing mystical about that, hm?"

He smirks. "I suppose not. Well, good luck with your shop, madame." He's such a good sport.
