Spider comes stumbling in, so much that he grabs hold of a pillar to steady himself. His face is bleeding from several cuts, and so are his arms, where the shirt is ripped. After he's done heaving, he actually looks smug

"No clue about the birds, but someone's always out to get me." Spider-Man waves cheerfully. "How come you're always hurt when I see you?"

[a_nansi]

"Sucks to be us, huh?" He waves back, weakly. "I dunno. Fate? I'm not hurt a lot, really." Uh-huh.

[the_spidey]

"Tell me if you need help. We Spiders need to stick together!"

[a_nansi]

This gets Spider-Man a slight smile. "Yeah. Thanks, man. But I don't think there's much you can do, anyway."

[the_spidey]

"So, why were birds attacking you?"

[a_nansi]

"My brother might have done something. But I'm not sure. I'm checking that one out when I bail him out of jail." He doesn't seem to realize that this might sound a bit..odd.

[the_spidey]

"Wait- you're brother's in jail? What?"

[a_nansi]

"Um. Yes. He is. White-collar crime. It may or may not be my fault, but as I said, I'm getting him out!"

[the_spidey]

"What did you do?"

[a_nansi]

"I think I did something with numbers at the place he works--worked, I mean, worked at. But it was actually his boss' fault, I tried to screw him over. Well, shows what I know."

[the_spidey]

"Why? And how does it make it his bosses fault if you tried to screw him over?"

[a_nansi]

"Nonono, I tried to screw his boss over because he's a lying bastard and deserves to rot in jail," he states.

[the_spidey]

"But that isn't his fault."

[a_nansi]

"Not my brother's, you mean? No. I didn't want that to happen to Fat Charlie." He shrugs. "It just did."

[the_spidey]

"Not the boss'."

[a_nansi]

"Sure, he was born like that, but he's still a bastard." He shrugs. "He should be kept away from other people. Better for everyone."
