Red entered the Nexus carrying her backpack over her shoulder. She looked as if she'd been crying recently, but there was a gentle smile on her face.

"If you had a chance to say goodbye to someone you were never going to get to see again, what would be the best way?"

"Something wrong, love?" There was a Zhilbar there, looking worried and giving a gentle hug.

She smiled at him, and accepted the hug. "I don't know, love. I think I've figured out what happened to the Inn and the guys."

She looked at him, seeming to memorize his face, everything about him in that one look.

He noticed that look. He feared for that look. And if she thought it needed, then He'd go for a broad gamut; if remembrance were needed, then let it be for everything He was. "And what happened, Beloved?" His arms tightened just a little around her, as if fearing to let her go.

She chuckled and caressed his face, "I love you, ya know?"

So she didn't want to admit it, not yet. Just give her more time.

"This one would tell them how much she loved them. She would do her best not to cry. She wants to be remembered with smiles."
Cureall says with a kind smile and warm glow in her optics,"Are you going to be alright?"

She smiled, "Not crying. Check. And honestly, I don't know if I'm going to be alright or not. Time will tell."

"Are you sure you'll never see them again? Because you never know, you know?"

[darkdemonicwolf]

She chuckled somewhat bitterly, "I'm sure I'll never see them again. In the past, I probably would have thought I'd be able to come back, but this time; I'm never going to be able to be back."

"What changed to make you think you won't? That aside, I try to say 'see you later' than goodbye, since it's more hopeful, you know? 'Goodbye' seems so final."

She smiled, "The world changed. It's reset itself. All connections to the Nexus will be gone tonight."

That would depend on the person I'd be saying goodbye to.

She smiled at him, "Really? How would you say goodbye to, say me?"

"I don't know you as well as I'd like, though we've spoken, and I'll express regret that I didn't get a chance to know you better."

She nodded her head, "Then I'd return the sentiment. I would have liked to get to know you better."

I'm not the person to ask for "the best way to say goodbye". Not my strong point. Don't tell me I won't be able to see you again... I don't want to try to figure it out...

She sighed, but smiled, "I can't tell you that, Ollie. Things have happened, and I'm going home."

Alright then. What things have happened?

She shrugged, "The Inn and the Mansion are gone. Disappeared, the guys too."

She sighed, "We're being called back to our world, Ollie. I'm going home tonight."
