Okay, so this guy who is a friend of the family lets you and your significant other(s) move into his place. He doesn't charge you rent, doesn't freak out when you get the cops called by the neighbors and only says you have to clean up after yourself and keep your room cleaned up.
So, is it ungrateful to NOT want to wear a tux and go to the damn opera? If it's not, how do I tell him that I don't want to go without sounding like a whining brat?
