"But of course," said Orochimaru. "I will explain a little for you, then. In my world, shinobi villages are the size of countries. Some big, some small. Those who live within them are trained to fight since they are children. People from non-shinobi villages and countries hire our people for various tasks, and that brings in a lot of the income of the shinobi villages."
