"There's a place, I think, that looks like a McDonald's, except that the O is burnt out. They serve deep-fried novels there. The paper curls around the edges, and the smell is enough to twist one's mind towards bibliophobia. The classics are a delicacy. What would you order?"

"Well, just for you, I'd order the Iliad, because it's been bothering you so much" Spider grins. "But apart from that...I really enjoyed Aesopos' fables. And...well, I mostly read classics. But some Poe would probably be good." He smiles.

"You're a sweetie. Mostly it's 'cause if there's death in movies, I can close my eyes. For death in real life, I can close my eyes. I can't close my eyes against death in books."

"Aesopos' fables. Lovely choice. Poe's always lovely-bright." She grinned.

"Yeah, do you get that itchy feeling if you skip a part in a book, too? And I can relate. And there's a lot of death in the Iliad. If you don't like it, don't read it, sweets." He smiles at her.

"Yep. I love both of 'em with a silly passion."

"I hafta read it sooner or later. College an' all. Yeah. I feel bad when I skip."

She nodded. "Me too. They're fun."

"It's funny that I completely believe this place exists, Victor. Just 'cause of the way you said it. I'd order The Catcher in the Rye."

"I'm glad." The way he said that made her feel proud of herself. "Oooh, good choice. Would you order fries with that? A drink of ink? Non-toxic of course. They'd depend on repeat customers."

Isamu smiles at her creativity. "Sure, gotta support the indie ventures."

"Lovely choice! What color cover?"

She smiles cheerfully, "This one once saw one with cover of swirled pink, blue and violet. It looked like high crade energon."

She laughed. "Never seen that before. 'S pretty, yeah?"

That depends. Are the novels for eating, or for reading?

"How d' you wanna use 'em?"

Well, books aren't too edible for me, and grease smudges the ink to where you can't see a damn thing.

You know, maybe I'm just being a little too realistic here. Let's try the first thing that pops into my head trick. I'd order "Something Wicked This Way Comes."

"Everyone's a bit realistic sometimes."

"Hmmm...what's that about? Is it based on the Shakespeare play?" She'd have to knock on wood if she said the name. Being an actress and all.

Wouldn't the *pauses to remember the word* punctuation get stuck in your teeth? Commas look like they would.

"So would the Os and the Qs and the other round-ish letters like Ds. They'd serve toothpicks, I think."

Good idea. Or you could use underlines as toothpicks!
I'd have, ooh, something short, and sweet, with a happy ending. So it wouldn't taste bad after you'd finished.

"Ah, yes. You're catchin' on."

"No aftertaste that way, yes? The ending is clear cut and well-done."
