A teenager, looking to be somewhere around nineteen, dressed in all black with a red vest, steps in. He doesn't look surprised to be in another world, but rather surprised at what the world is, he is expecting somewhere else perhaps? One method that can work is to "die" temporarily. If your mind isn't there to be connected to, that might break the link. Depends on how the link works.
