A fourteen-year-old boy is looking around with an annoyed look, arms crossed. He doesn't seem surprised by his surroundings, but then, he could just be hiding it well. Finally he decides to speak.

"What do you do when your uncle won't let you bring your childhood friend with you on a trip?"

He blinks, looking confused. "Do I know you, miss?"

He gives this weird person an annoyed look. "I am not going to forfeit my only chance to increase my social station."

"That would result in my getting punished or kicked out of the military, and I can't risk that. It's my only chance."
