"Thomas?" Ali is so freaking out inside right now.

"I'm blurring when I move." He didn't know what else to say.

"I noticed that...what happened to you?"

He hesitated, and then mumbled. "I got hit by a car..."

"Oh Thomas!" She tries to hug him.

Unfortunately, Thomas was not exactly solid right now, and with a cry, he traveled right through her. It felt weird, like moving through a sudden patch of warm water. "Ali!"

"I'm sorry. Shhh. It'll be okay." She edges around him so she's in front of him again. "We'll...we'll find a way to fix this."

"I don't think you can fix things like this..."

"We'll figure something out."

Thomas was more disturbed that he was upsetting other people than at the idea of being dead. "I'm still here. I'm just... blurry."

"Right." She blinks. "Right! And the people who're dead when they come here generally aren't. So you might not be dead. You might be in a coma, like Aya."

He met Aya. He remembered. His eyes went wide. "Aya's in a coma? I don't want to be in a coma..."

"Shhh, it's okay, if that's what it is it means you're still alive, and we just need to find a way to get you back to your body."

"I hit the ground, I think." He frowned. "But the hospital is a long way away..."

[vicioussweetie]

"Time and space are relative, darling. Especially to those which have no physical form. So right now, home and the hospital and your body might just be a thought away."

"Then it should be okay to stay here until I wake up." He waved his arms more. "That's odd-looking. Why am I blurry?"
