She crooks a brow. "The flaws of humanity? Well that's pretty narrow minded...There are pleanty of other races out there."

"Yeah, but that sounds better. I dunno, people are people, I guess, but we can you know, vary a little for each races."

"Hmm. A pity really. But that's fine if you..don't have a definition."

"I have a definition. I was born like every other human. They just don't mean anything to me."

Family are the guys that'll stick with me through anything. The good, fun stuff and the really drastic, crappy times.

((Gah, sorry about the reposts. I misread the question.))

((That's ok. XD))

She smiles brightly. "That's great. Family can be more than just blood. It's the bonds that make them important."

*nods* That's true. I mean, my parents were great and they're definitely what I first think of when someone mentions family. I've also got some really close friends that really might as well be brothers.

What about you? Do personifications of death usually have families that they're born into or do you rely more on the kinda bonds you build with friends.

She smiles at him. "I think that's..good that you can see your friends as brothers."
She laughs softly. "Ys. I'm one of the Endless. I have a ..colorful family. We each have responsiblities, similar to mine. My job is to guide people to..well, where they belong."

"Family is safety and love." She pauses. "For me. Not so much for you, from what I've heard."

She just gives a small laugh. "Well we all have our problems...But I'm glad you can define famiy as safety and love. That's important."

"It is. And I worked hard enough to get it, I'm damn well not going to pick anyone who isn't going to do a good job." She smiles.

She nods in agreement. "If I could pick my family? I'd do the same....Would make things easier. But I still love them all dearly. Can't change the love I feel for them...Even If I could just smack them for being stupid at times."

Well, everything worth seeking. There are plenty of necessary unpleasantries in life without looking for more, but a good family? Will be everything you need. I'm including those who become family through adoption, inclusion, and mating, as well.

"You remind me of one of my brothers." She gives a small chuckle. "But you are right. Family is all any of us needs. We just...sometimes loose sight of that fact."
