Go for the jugular? S' pretty hard for to recover from that unless he can regenerate or something.

"Jugular?" Zim pulls out a small, purple screen. "Computer! Bring up jugular!" After a minute of reading, he looks up again. "Fascinating! I think I will try to go for the inferior, human jugular!"

"YOU LIE! I am HUMAN! See? Hair? Eyes? HUMAN!" Zim laughs maniacally.

*hikes a thumb toward his chest* Not human. It kinda takes a little more than that... or a little less, depending on the human, I guess.
