"Don't fall in love in the first place, of course."

No, because that wouldn't involve falling out of love, it would involve being perfectly steady and not falling anywhere.

"Then be more careful where you step, and you won't fall to begin with."

"That, or thing of all the bad qualities the person has."

Far more easily than you fall in love.

Vague. How useful.

*he leans forward, resting his chin on his good hand* Specifics? You simply require an atrophy of feeling. In lubber's terms, punish yourself for feeling anything, anything at all and in time you will learn not to feel. This can take years to accomplish but it's worth it. It saves any hurt in future.

That's... brilliant. Thank you.

Just wondering about... hypotheticals.

Ah...*raises an eyebrow* Right.

I'm sorry, I'm still in love with the only person I ever fell in love with. Kinda wishing that I wasn't, but hope springs eternal.

Yeah. It's a nuisance.

((Very, very carfully, and probably with a mallet to the brain. It happens eventually. Usually.))

Of course. Now I just need to find a mallet.

Sam smiles and holds out the Mallet of Common Sense Bringing. "Want this?"

*gravely* Thank you.

"Why would you want to?"

Reply

Because it's... inconvenient at this point in my life to be emotionally attached on more than a possibly-a-little-more-than-friends basis.

vicioussweetie June 18 2006, 17:05:00 UTC
"I see."

It wouldn't be that bad, but I've fallen for the most unsuitable person possible.
