Freya walks into the Nexus, thumbing through a random fashion magazine. A half-dozen more are tucked under one arm, and the remains of another are being batted about by her cats. Suddenly she stops, turning the magazine sideways. "Well, that must take a lot of work to get into," she mutters to herself

While I think that clothing may change the person slightly, it doesn't give them a whole new personality.

"That's not a very precise answer." She tugs curiously at his shirt, her hand glowing faintly. "I guess we'll see if you can narrow that down."

"Lady Freya." She bows politely.

"I've noticed people change in numerous ways to suit their outfit, many of them unconsciously. For example, when someone who usually dresses in jeans and a tee is put in a suit, they often hold themselves with a better posture and try to look determined. People often act as they believe people who fit whatever role they're dressed for act. Those beliefs may be false, however, and can often mark the newcomer to a particular style of outfit in a group."

"Clever observations, Alison. I see the cats have been enjoying your company." Freya plucks a cat hair off Alison's blouse. "How well do you believe you'll blend in, then?"

And then she looks down at her new outfit. "I have my own cup. Okay." Reaching up, she discovers the hat on her head. "Ooh, a hat!"

"The first. People act the way they believe they should while wearing different clothes, but their true personality doesn't change."

"I see. Do you then believe people don't share their true selves with the world?"

"I don't imagine that clothes can make a person act a certain way. I think they just give the person the confidence or ambition to act a way they normally wouldn't." Shrugs-- feels a bit drafty in here, doesn't it?

Too late, he's noticed the boa... the nail polish... the, yeah, best to not mention that. "I, yes, suppose so..." Distracted. Listening to an inner whine that complains Not fair! I didn't eat anything. Didn't drink anything. Didn't touch anything. Nobody gassed me...
