but I have one last question, and it's a very important one: what if your siblings ex-lover also happens to be your current lover's sibling?

I'd say the second the lover shows up at his doorstep, you nail her with a roundhouse kick to the face and tell your brother to grow up. At least, that's what I'd do with my brother.
