Miki creeps into the Nexus, looking around warily. "Naga kept teasing me so I'm trying to be braver," she begins timidly. "I snuck out of the little den we found and came bere." She pauses. "And it's big and scary but I did it! What else can I do to show Naga that I'm not always afraid of everything?"

You could figure out what's he's afraid of and learn to be braver about it than he is.

"But Naga's not afraid of anything."

Everyone's afraid of something.

Being afraid isn't always a bad thing, pup. Being brave doesn't mean you don't have any fear. Being brave means that you still do something even though you're afraid.

"But he always makes fun of me. I just want him to stop."

Then stand up to him and not go and do something rash.

"I'll try." She doesn't sound very sure of herself.

"AWWWWW SO CUTE!"

She jumps a bit at the intensity, but forces herself to stay put.

He bites his lip. "Sorry little girl." He says a bit more quietly and gets down on his knees. "Didn't mean to scare you."

She sniffs in his direction. "'sokay."

[gospel_]

Gospel sniffs the pup. He'd suggest beating Naga up, but he doubts an organic pup would understand binary encoded snarls, even if Nexus-LOL let the pup talk. The Nexus had never translated Gospel before.

After a moment's consideration he gives it a try, growling his suggestion.

Miki doesn't even register that he's using another 'language,' so to speak. "Can't do that! He's too big!"

-Then outsmart him. Trick him. Do something to prove you're better. Then he can't tease. They don't when what they're scared of is you.

Things like this? *sits and smiles at her* Just don't do anything really dangerous, that might get you killed.

She greets him with a friendly lick. "Never wanna die."
