I walked into the nexus, I was soaked. It was raining as I walked back from my apartment. I had just got back from a night with my parents.

"So, anyone other than me have a dis functional family? One that you see self destructing before your very eyes?"

I put my hand out and smile at her.

"My names Zack Hunter. I'm a private eye."

"Didn't mean to startle you Ms. lilly, Its just what I do."

"You don't have to call me Ms Lilly. No one else does." She tilts her head. This guy seemed like something out of a noir-style film.

I smirked. I was sort of glad Xen wasn't listening, I really was laying it on thick.

"Well then Lilly, whats a nice girl like you doing in a multiverse like this?"

I can't believe I just said that.

She gives a tiny chuckle. Wow this guy was laying it on thick.

"I come here now..just for a bit of inpiration. I'm a painter." Might as well respond a little bit to his efforts.
