There comes a time in a man's life when he learns that there are certain things he can't control in the world. Unfortunately, this is one of those times ( Read more... )

I suppose you could hire male or transgendered prostitutes to encourage these writers not to cause irreperable damage to your reputation and integrity. That was the method I used for years with my writer.

Until I finally cut him off and then that abysmal man whored me out to a hack like this television fellow, Hudlin, that forces me to articulate like an infantile, insecure, overemotional and undeveloped shadow of a mature woman.

The power of sex is capricious, Iron Fist. Be wise in how you manipulate it.

Transgendered prostitutes? I have to trade indirect sexual favors? This is more sordid than I'd anticipated.

I always try to use sex as an expression of love. Do you consider that capricious, Storm?

Dump T'Challa.

Really.

Should Misty dump me, after a suitable period of mourning, I will be knocking on your door. Loudly.

It was Logan that informed me of this method. As distasteful as I consider the business, it was successful for quite some time and the writer did enjoy it.

I would never take any expression of love lightly, Danny.

You are quite attractive.

Really.

However, I could not tolerate standing second in any man's affections. You are welcome to knock on my door, but it is possible that I may not be home.

Ah. I see it's "let's throw Danny off kilter" night in the Nexus again with tall tales of Wolverine providing...how do I put this politely....women of a certain profession to the hacks that write for Marvel.

Not buying it, Storm. However, I'd be happy to do some looming over Hudlin for you.

You are quite beautiful.

Really.

I am not a man that loves or lusts with anything less than total devotion. I might climb in the window anyway.

It was merely a suggestion, Danny, and the tales of Wolverine's exploits are quite legendary. I am surprised at your skepticism.

Buy it or not, I am appreciable for any looming performed on my behalf.

Thank you.

You honor me.

I admire that devotion and strive to emulate it myself. Should you climb, be careful there are no panther's claws waiting for you in the dark.

Twelve years of living in New York City haven't been in vain, Storm. I'm aware of Wolverine's...lust for life in all of its incarnations.

You're also part of an oligarchy of women here that like to tease me relentlessly, although I'm not really complaining. I'm only pretending to complain in order to preserve a shred masculine dignity.

You deserve nothing less than complete truth.

It is the world that honors you, as it should. Your spirit, beauty, and power.

The dragon fears not the panther, no matter how high he ascends.

*grins*

Be rest assured that your... masculinity is well preserved, as well as your dignity.

Now you humble me me with your compliments.

And you are quite relentless. I admire that as well.

I was taught to walk the path of brutal, honest self-reflection. Thus I can admit freely that there are parts of my dignity lost forever.

A man that is tenous in love is not deserving of its blessings. Love requires strength, purpose, and commitment to action.

I see giving me a brain aneurysm was not enough for you.

When she tells me to shift my attentions elsewhere because you have a claim to her, I will obey. Maybe your attitude is why you've largely been unsuccessful recently in cementing your relationship. She's not a woman that belongs to someone.

You know nothing of me, and you obviously know nothing about "cementing a relationship," given your track record.

You also say that you would respect someone having a 'claim' upon her, then, out of the other side of your face, say that she is one who does not belong to anyone. Your terminology is contradictory, marking you as erratic at best and ignorant at worst.

She is the latter. Ororo belongs to naught but the wind, and the wind belongs to her.

Still, I would recommend a cold shower.
