Relationships are chaotic for people in our lifestyle. It's hard enough making them work in general, add in what we do and it's damn near impossible.

That being said, if you love her enough you will find a way to make it work. It just may take a herculean effort.

I'm sensing - no, I know - that this is not what you really want to say.

What? Am I not right when I say that it takes a huge effort to make a relationship work for people in our professions?

I know you to be a very direct woman. All relationships take effort if there is a hope for success. The only difference with people in our professions is, perhaps, slightly unpredictable hours.

I never said there wasn't hope. I have had a lot of failed relationships in the past and if I didn't have hope, I would get into any new ones. As it is, I am in one, a great one as a matter of fact, and I'm trying to make it work.

Although it is easier now that I'm retired from the spy business. Once I learn how to juggle being a parent and relationship, I'll be okay.
