Generally, I find my packmates that I'm closest to and we cut up, act silly, and eat as much as we possibly can... which is a LOT for us.

I don't know what mead is so I can't help you there.

"That sounds like a lovely celebration. On what do you feast?

"It's a drink, made of honey."

*smiles* It is. And usually we go with whatever was hunted most recently... boar, deer, various kinds of fowl. If it's a REALLY special occasion sometimes we'll go and catch whatever the man of the hour is craving.

Mm, that does sound tasty.

"Oh, I like your sort of party. What's your name?"

*laughs* Thank you! Not everyone here does. Some get a bit squemish at the mention of hunting.

"Freya. I enjoy a good hunt."

It is nice when somebody gets how nice a good hunt can be. One where you have fun tracking down the prey and end up with as much food as you needed, if not more? That's a good hunt. One where the prey outsmarts you hand sends you sliding into a sleek, deep mudpit that's almost impossible to get out of, then sits smugly at the top watching you try... that's definitely a bad one. Um, not that I'd have any experience with that last one, aheh.

She smiles. "Of course you wouldn't. Do you have many good hunts?"

Hm... *purses his lips in consideration* I guess you could say that. So long as I'm on my own turf and nothing's happened to get me offa my game I can do a pretty good job. So long as I'm not hunting fish. I'm a terrible fisherman.

How about you? How do most of your hunts go.

"Oh, they go quite well, unless someone interferes."

Oh yeah, having someone horn in on your prey or just make a bunch of noise while your trying to stalk after something can mess up the whole deal. There really are few things that are more frustrating.

Out of curiousity, what do you usually hunt? I ask because sometimes people mention animals here that I've never heard of or seen in my land before and I'm interested in what's out there.
