"I just found out that I have to attend some black-tie political event for work. Can anyone suggest ways to make the thing a little more interesting without causing an international incident?"
"You could sneak in a hand-held video game and sneak off to the coatroom to play it. Not like I have ever done anything like that myself, or anything."
"Hmm... I might be able to get away with that for a little bit. Technically, I'm supposed to be working, though. I'm not sure I could vanish for that long."
((Also, the more I think about it, the more certain I am that Nagi would have no idea who Aya-chan is at this point. Wheee!))
"Take a game that lets you save what level your on and play a little at time whenever you can get away." Aya smiles playfully. "If you can be sneaky, then you'll get plenty of chances to get away. Those political dinner things go on forever." Wink.
"That's true." Against his will, Nagi finds himself smiling just a little at the cheerful girl. "And sneaking off every once in a while is nothing compared to what certain people I know do."
"I'm a bodyguard, technically, but mostly I do computer work for the team."
"That is so cool!" Aya grins, obviously impressed. She laughs. "So do you like video games then, or are you around computers too much at work to enjoy them?"
"Well, I don't totally suck." She barely resists the urge to stick her tongue out at him. He seems serious enough to take it as an insult rather than a joke. "And I'll show you how much I don't totally suck if you want to play sometime."
She gives an exaggerated little bow.
"I'm Fujimiya Aya. You'll remember my name after I kick you butt at [insert name of appropriate video game here]."
"It will be a terribly long time before I remember your name then." There's a hint of a smile, but only a hint. "When and where should I prove my superior video game skills, Fujimiya?"
"Any time. Any place... Except that my place doesn't really have anything we could play on together. Just a laptop and the games that I can download off the Net, that means we could still play against each other over the Internet, but it's not as fun as sitting next to somebody and getting to watch as you beat them to pulp." She smirks.
Aya leans forward. "I bet you have Playstation and Xbox and everything else though." She gives him as small, teasing smile.
Nagi nods. "There's no way I could invite you to my place. Do you have a TV? I could bring a game system. Or I could bring my laptop and network it onto yours."
((Pretend I used the right terms for computer stuff, if I didn't, please...))
"So you'll have to come over to my place." Aya is trying not show how delighted she is with idea of having someone around her own age come over, which somehow makes her enthusiasm more obvious.
"I haven't got a TV. So bring your laptop, and prepare to be defeated. Oh, what kind of drinks and stuff do you like? If I'm going crush you with my mad game skills the least I can do is provide refreshments."
((Ditto. And Aya-chan has been raiding Tohru's kitchen whenever she wants goodies.))
Nagi shrugs. "Don't really have a preference. Sodas and salty-type junk food, I guess. I don't pay much attention to food, to be honest."
((I noticed. ^.^ Well, the kitchen magically restocks itself, so no worries at all. If Tohru figurs it out, she's far more likely to start making Aya's favorite snacks than get upset.))
"Sodas and salty type junk food I can get. I live in the Nexus. [She gives him directions to her house.] You're welcome there anytime." She smiles warmly at him and reaches out to try to squeeze his hand. "I'm very glad I met you, Nagi. This will be fun."
Cute girl. Touching. Smiling. Eep. Nagi's brain shorts out, just a little and he blushes. "Um, yeah. Fun." Then he remembers that he's supposed to be an evil bastard, and he recovers enought to add. "I'm gonna enjoy kicking your ass." He might still be blushing a little and smiling though. He'd never admit it, but he might be.

Aya looks at Nagi with a curious expression. She has been trying to figure out why a boy who looks younger than she is working as a bodyguard.
"It sounds like they make you work pretty hard. I hope the also let you have fun too."

"I suppose they let me have fun. I like computers more than most people anyway."
"Oh, I'm Nagi. Who're you?"
