Hong is idly leafing through the Evil Overlord's Handbook, and is for the most part unimpressed.

"Sages. Why would a person need to be told 'I will not turn into a snake. It never helps'? And should we have people needing to hear that, might they deserve to learn the hard way?"

He claps it shut. "Who among you would actually find this useful?"

"There does seem to be quite a bit backward about that approach. Rather similar to the 'Fight first, negotiate later' tendency. I always considered it better to have the battle won before the first attack."
