*With a crackle and a faint odor of ozone, a portal opens to disgorge a red and orange ship that hovers just a couple feet off of the ground of the Nexus. Rising from a hatch in its top is Samus, vacsuit clad, eyes blazing. She hops easily down and begins pacing. Ali rubs her ear a little, giving Samus a curious look. "What's happened?"

That Kryptonian toddler--

"The li--Raven's killer, I'm guessing? That was pretty stupid. But that's par for the course with people who wear capes. They just don't understand."

Earth.

Why blame Earth?

Unless I missed something along the way, the person you're pissed at isn't even from Earth.

She attributes her values to Earth.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess yes.

How, how, how do they manage not to drive themselves to extinction? They protect their murderers and butcher their champions! Backward, stinking, stupid monkeys...

They breed more efficiently than they kill themselves off, of course.

If you're talking about Earth... yeah, there's days when I'd say it is.

Besides, can you honestly say that you've never looked back on something you did and thought, "You know, that was really incredibly stupid"?

I've done stupid things. I've never left prey alive. I've never called a slow, wasting death more compassionate than a clean kill. That is... orders of magnitude away.

I... take it the hunt didn't go well?

NO.

*She sighs.*

No. The Kryptonian intervened.

Mmph. I could have guessed. And yes, the stupid plague is RAMPANT there. They talk a good fight, call for blood, scream and howl, but when the time comes they falter. This is why irken justice is dealt by computer. They don't hesitate to rip the guts out of a defective's pak when they've done something wrong.

It's simple sense. Killing a murderer ends their violence. Letting them live prolongs it. Not that hard to understand. How can they get it completely reversed?
