The large man watches with interest as she shifts forms. "Oh yes. I'm familiar with that."

He might stand out from the crowd because besides being eight feet tall he's also carrying a baby girl.

He frowns a little. "Humans seem so strange compared to the way they used to be. A thousand years or so ago they just accepted that they shared the world with other peoples."

He sniffs at her. "Are you a werewolf, or some sort of earth spirit?" He sniffs her again. "...Or a mixed blood of some kind?"

"She bears a strong likeness to ye, sir." She pauses. "Which I suspect'll lead t' ye havin' nae worries of keepin' the boys from foolin' around with her, if she grows up t' be as tall an' strong as yuirself."

He laughs. "You wouldn't know it to look at me, but she has some heritage that might make her fair enough for even human boys to take the risk."
