Rahne stared... something about this woman seemed familiar... but she couldn't put her finger on it.. ((I envision kind of a "deja-vu" sensation when alters of two different family-members meet, that's what Rahne's feeling now... It's Moira, thus the familiarity, but not the Moira she knows, thus the odd sensation.))
"Thank ye, ma'am... but how is it ye know my name? I dinnae recall meetin' ye before."
Dr. Moira MacTaggart, lass. We seem to be from different realities. I hope yuirs doesna involve either Nazis or yuir being any longer than necessary in that bastard Craig's hands.
Rahne rushed to envelop the older woman in a tearful hug... it had been only a few months back in her world's time, that the FOH attack that killed Moira and sent Rahne herself on the run took place... right now, she didn't give two damns if this was 'her' Moira. It was Mother, and that was enough.
Rahne murmured into Moira's tear-damp shoulder. "Och, I know ye ain't her, but I dinnae care... Nea even been a year since the FOH bastards took her, an' I dinnae even got time enough t' mourn her passin', else I'd be soon t' follow."
She sobbed, trembling. "They killed her, just t' get t' me... If I hadn't been there, she'd still have breath in 'er..."
She whimpers in almost puppylike fashion... the guilt... she blames herself for her Moira's demise.
It's all safe here, lass. Nae one'll get to ye here. Ye go ahead and let it out. ::holds her, strokes her hair::
Aye, I'm nae her. But I think can speak for any Moira -- short of the Nazi wench on Earth 597 -- in saying that ye mustna blame yuirself. Nae that we like being murdered in front of our lasses, but a longer life wouldna be worth never having had ye.
"The FOH are mostly in America... 'tis why myself and a few others, like Roberto an' Jubilee fled back t' our homelands as escape. But we found th' hard way the scum have hideing-holes all over the damned globe... Roberto's plane never got back t' Brazil - itwent down somewhere in the Gulf o' Mexico, and I have nae clue if Jubilee made it back t' China, let alone if she's still alive..."
Och ::squeezes again:: Yui're nae going back, are ye? There's places to stay around here. If there's nae one waiting for ye back home but....them, then...
But as for the ones after ye, I do hope they all die verrry horribly.
::smiles:: Good evening, Rahne.

"Aye, that arse-faced Craig is dead and sufferin' in the hell he claimed was for me, and I'm nae sheddin' a tear for it." She paused. Moira? But...
"Did... did ye say yuir name was Moira?"

That's wonderful news. Nae so in my world, more's the pity. But at least I got my Rahne away from him long ago.
Aye, lass, I did. Moira Anne Kinross MacTaggart.
