There's this awful show on the telly about animal cops. It's makin me cry...

Why would people keep pets if they're gonna be mean an' neglectful to 'em? I don't understand...

I don't know why I watch that show...I always cry, and I know that, but I still watch because it's always nice when the poor things are rescued.

But god, there really ought to be stricter punishments for animal abuse. A thousand dollar fine for causing the death of your pet? Why do you HAVE that pet? Augh!

I dunno...some kind of power trip? Lots of people have kids that they ignore, and kids are WAY more expensive.

Hato makes a little face. "People are pretty mean. mean to animals, mean to other people." He frowns quietly and offers Stu an origami crane. "At least there are some nice people out there like you and Rosie and Kage and stuff."

Hato smiles for Stu, encouraging. "Glad you like it. Just don't like hearing about people I like crying. You're pretty when you smile. You should always smile." Hato nods firmly.

Because pets make great stress relievers for them? I know some people tend to think that I am abusive to animals because I eat them, then I kick her scrawny vegan ass back in to the river. Take that, Princess No Body Caresas!

That's the way things are. Dumb dog should have learned to fight back. You don't, and sooner or later, you're gone. Bet it woulda lived longer if it took a chunk outta those humans. *snickers*
