Now we established that savings is for the little people, might be interesting to ask what savings we got.
Student debt passed credit card debt, second place behind home mortgages. And we know credit cards and mortgages went through the roof the last 20 years. Savings is net of debts. Fair to say savings are still kinda negative out there.
Student debt ... kids. Most of us boomers were more careful with debt I guess. So what changed?
Maybe you guess what’s changed is character. A plague of wastrels and spendthrifts, our kids, is out there on somebody’s borrowed dime -- partying and tweeting it to the universe and cutting Friday class.
Just not on our dime. Teach your children well, parents. No slack, no mercy. Make them pay.
