Quiet weekend in the local area. Sunday afternoon with cousin Jenny and her family, post Susan G Koman “Race for the Cure.” It is Jenny’s family tradition they started in support of their mom who was a cancer survivor for over a decade. Plan is to dust off the vintage 1980s food dryer ... see if it generates more heat than smoke. Otherwise -- the oven. Will try to impart anything non obvious learned.

our good ol American Prairie food dryer is great in fall...it heats the house with great smelling air as well...jerky smells heavenly...
let me know if you hav to move it outside due to volatilized capsaicin attacking eyeballs etc...
