Slow down, everyone.

Slow down, you move too fast.

This is what I see around me, and this is who I have become most of the time, as well. Moving too fast, blurred reality.

How can you see things when everything is a blur?

Today is Sunday.  I have a secular tradition of not working on Sunday, which is really non-negotiable. Today, I am again discovering the reason why.

Now that I have the time to slow down, without a task on my plate, I am able to see my surroundings.

I saw the patch of gray on the floor, and I got out the sponge and got down on my knees and cleaned it up.

I vacuumed the back porch. I took the time to see messes and clean them. This is, sort of, work.

I think next week, I will aim to do those things on Saturday, and then have Sunday even more free, and do some spiritual cleaning.

Well, forget that. I am flying to Nebraska next week for my sister's wedding. Okay, so the weekend after that.

Actually, I am concerned about being too busy this summer to smell the flowers and listen to the birds, to decompress, to enjoy life.

I am very excited about wireless coming to Boston, and being a part of the team, but I am nervous about doing two condo renovations while also being project manager for the next wireless pilot in Boston.

On the other hand, I know that I am able to accomplish an amazing amount of work, when I have a clear plan laid out for myself, and not too many other complications.

The problem is, complications seem to always arise in life.

Too much! This society is moving too fast! We lose efficiency by doing too much.

Less is more. Do less and get more done.

Update - After a very productive morning of Spring cleaning, I feel confident that I can get enough done this Summer to accomplish both jobs -- renovation of the condos as well as moving forward the Boston wireless effort in Fenway.
