I’m feeling remarkably reflective today, and decided to share with my friends.
I love the ren-faire. I really, really love it. I’m usually sad when it ends for the year, and I always anticipate the next season impatiently.
This year, though, I’m not sad. I still love the faire. I still anticipate the next season impatiently, but by the end of pub sing on Sunday, I was ready, even eager, to jump back into my regular life. Faire was a wonderful break, but my outside life is almost as fun, these days!
I am wealthy in all of the things that matter. I many some of the best friends a person could want. I have a place to live of my own, a job that I enjoy most of the time, and enjoy complaining about most of the rest of the time.
I’m busy, but still have the opportunity to stop and photograph the roses, or the neat bugs in my garden. I can sing with a choir, I can watch anime, or the Discovery Channel.
When I look in the mirror, I see a man I respect looking back at me.
I have confidence that whatever hardship may come my way; I’ll survive, and prosper beyond it.
That being said, I need to get back to work!
friends,
happy.,
life,
thanksgiving
