Today while teleworking, a call comes into my queue.
It's not from a person in my company.
It's from someone outside who was trying to connect to a teleconference. He called a couple of minutes before it started. The conference wasn't up yet. He got diverted to the help desk phone queue. We were swamped with every tech on the phone and a dozen more calls in the queue...
The first thins his says is: "What the hell is going on... why the hell is it taking me ten minute to connect to a conference call that started ten minutes ago... hurry the hell up and get me connected!"
Me: "Are you an employee?"
Him: "No, i'm Joe So&So from Such&Such Government Agency"
Me: "Well sir, please do not yell at me. You haven't earned that right. I'll connect you back to the conference phone number now."
