When I was a teenager, and fighting insomnia, or drawing whatever got into my head for art classes, I would listen to a program called Echoes on public radio (or the subsequent mixed tapes I made)
It introduced me to artists like Angels of Venice, Loreena McKinnett, and a whole soundscape of "World" music.
An album that I keep either IN my dvd player or right on top of my dvd player is the last studio album from Dead Can Dance. Spiritchaser is my go to album for reading, soaking in the bathtub (and reading). Near meditation music sometimes. It has been this way since I bought the album when I was 17.
