At long last, my days as a retail clerk have come to an end... at least for now. I wrapped up my final shift at Quality Dairy this morning. There was a bit of fun had on my part in certain tasks knowing that I wont be working there again. I will certainly miss some people, others not so much.
With one chapter now closed I move on to that alluded to in previous entries. I have just over a month to find a roommate, find an apartment, send in my transcript, take a math test, sign some paperwork, hammer out a budget, get a loan finalized, prep my car for the trip, rent a u-haul, pack up my worldly possessions, say my goodbyes and move 1200 miles from the place I've called home these past 21 years. Piece of cake, no?
On a completely different note, this year has been and promises to be the best year for movies I've seen in an incredibly long time. 300 and Hot Fuzz rose to and conquered my expectations. Spiderman 3 had its moments, some lame, some sweet, but overall better than average. Thursday night I was at the 8pm premier of Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, which satisfied more than I thought it would. I enjoyed the multiple plot-lines and general pirate madness. A month from now will see the release of Live Free or Die Hard which has my hopes soaring above the clouds. Close on its heels will be the nerdtastic event of the summer which promises to thrill the shit out of some while disappointing and alienating others. I speak of course about Michael Bay's adaptation of the Transformers. The new trailer had my feelings mixed. Thankfully I'm not a cannon junky or I might not be able to enjoy it in spite of the clearly re-hauled story.
These movies may just tide me over until fall brings back my favorite shows which recently had season finales. OMG Heroes!!!@!1 I knew Nathan couldn't be an asshat to the very end, the friggin show's called Heroes not Villains. And who the hell is this guy worse than Sylar(who clearly isn't dead). But of course the best part, Hiro in 17th century Japan! In other news, I'm going to miss the hell out of Scrubs with the next being its last season. Lastly, I thoroughly enjoy the idea of Smallville getting a little bizzaro.
Anyway, wish me luck in my endeavors and I'll do the same for you.
