Ughh, Still no weekends off. We've got a new manager at the store as of this week. Eric, my old manager, is moving on to bigger and better things. We're all sad to see him go, he's a great guy and he did wonders for our store. New Boss(aka Steve) subscribes to a different school of managing, more tight-laced, rigid, and unforgiving, in other words corporate. I'm not sure how well that will work in the ghetto, because let's face it, that's where our store is. Crackheads, drunks, streetwalkers, and the nicotene addicted make up a large portion of our customer base. Anyway, the changes he is making I can see causing improvements and impasses, either way though it seems as if my workload has doubled as my rate of pay remains the same.
In other news I've filed my FAFSA and will be visiting with a friends mother today who knows a thing or two about loans and scholarships. Hopefully I find out just what I should be asking when I talk to the financial aid dept. at Full Sail. I've been in contact with my new admissions rep via e-mail and I plan to give her a call sometime this week. This is probably the biggest thing I'll have done in my life to this point.
I'm growing to love my car. I'd say I'm a pretty damn good driver for having just ove a month of experience. Just this week I had to put gas in for the first time. One complaint, it frosts up on the inside a bit too much and I often drive around with a foggy as hell rear window. That shouldn't be a problem down in Florida though.
Christmas is almost here and, as has become habit, nobody's going to be home for the holidays. Mom and Dad are headed to Texas to visit my half-sister and her family, leaving my brother and me home working through the holidays. All gifts are coming early this year that means. Josh got new tires for his truck, I'm getting a new bed, Dad is getting a gun safe and Mom is getting a bunch of golfing stuff(she's picking up the sport for business networking etc.). The Wii was a gift from my brother and myself to eachother.
And life goes on, ceaselessly pressing into the future and the unknown. See you all next time I've got something to say.
