Yay, first book post and January isn't done!
1.
Memoirs of a Geisha, Arthur Golden, 434 pages.
I'm probably the only woman in America who hasn't read this book by now. I haven't seen the movie, either. I know you're horrified,
pygmymetal. That said...I found the book very pretty, and the parts about the day-to-day life of the geisha, fascinating, and the romance kind of meh. I actually really felt very sorry for Nobu-san, and that the build-up was much more drawn-out and painful than necessary.
