Hmm
Today was pretty fun and relaxed. I was able to breeze through some reading and a little bit of writing for the upcoming finals crunch, and I furthered my Backgammon playing skills. I almost beat my friend Stephen today, as it came down to two dice rolls. Additionally I love the show Top Gear. The more I see the more entertained I am.
Saturday was pretty awesome too. Started the day with a bbq on the lawn of our friend Kevin. We successfully made it through all 13.5 pounds of the chicken he had procured. We also partook of the plum wine and Kirin beer that we had acquired in Seattle this past weekend. This was followed by scotch and a couple people also took up cigars to have a smoke. We decided to have dinner at the Bistro but were rebuked, and told that no tables would be available till 830. So we wandered on down to the more posh and popular French place furthur down Main st. and were lucky to arrive as a reserved table had just opened up due to tardiness. The steak there, as always, was delicious. Kyle and Jessica shared a bottle of wine to great effect. Shenanigans ensued.
Friday was pretty cool too! Not much happened but Kyle and I went to see Star Trek. I really dislike the use of time travel either as story/canon correction, or just in general. I think it messes things up and generally has great potential for abuse/no one uses it to its full potential, thus killing everyone. Other than that I had a really fun time watching it. I know very little about the Star Trek universe, and have only seen a couple episodes with Shatner and the Wrath of Khan. But from what I did know there were a lot of fun references to silly things.
