Author's Notes: This is an AU to the AU series with Legolas ‘Missne’ Greenleaf, as it wont follow the main story, but I like the thought of what William became in At World’s End. There might be some spoilers of stories that are in my planning of the series, which would explain one or another thing here.
I also took some liberties to change some of how the legend of the Captain of the Flying Dutchman is told in the Disney films.
Also I'm sorry it took sometime to actually finish the story, it sort of grew larger than I first had planned.

Summary: Legolas is drawn to Cape Wrath by a mysterious feeling. Things long ago accepted, need to be reconsidered when the circumstances have changed.
Chapter 4
Legolas lay watching Will as he peacefully slept. He now knew it was his bond to the pirate that had made him feel restless in this world, and also later drawn him to Cape Wrath. From the moment they had reunited, he had felt that the empty space inside him vanish. It had been a space that none of the happy things he had lived through since they parted had been able to fill.
Laying there, he began to realise that he had no idea how long he would be able to stay this time, if the time given him was the same, or he would be granted any longer when he reunited with his love. He could only wish that when their son and granddaughter were living in the world, he could stay much longer. The ultimate dream would have been to spend eternity together.
Following the scar on Will's chest with his finger got his heart weeping for what his lover had done to defeat Davy Jones twice. For Legolas, it showed what a kind soul and loving man Will was. He bent forward and kissed it.
Will moved, woken by the lips on his chest. Seeing the blond hair and feeling another body against him, he asked, "Legolas, is it really you?"
"Yes, my love, it is really me. Gen melin!" [I love you!]
"Love you too."
They made love again, before they actually told each other what had happened since they had last been together. Legolas managed to get Will to tell his story first, and Legolas was happy to have something to surprise Will with, something he would hopefully love.
"So how does it come to be that you are in this world and in Scotland?" Will asked after he had finished his tale.
"Would you believe that there seemed to be several reasons for it and none of them is for saving the world?"
Will shook his head as he said that he didn't. He did remember what he had been told of how the veil between the worlds worked, and what would happen when something threatened either of them, so he wondered why it wasn't so this time.
"By now, you know that things move in ways you cannot predict, and do not always know how to handle. Actually, why I am here now comes from the time we met last time. You learned my story then, and that you see me as a female, but if you had been a woman, you would see me as Legolas. It is not only the appearance though, if everything fits I really can be the opposite gender." Legolas paused, watching his words sink in for Will.
"So… every time we have sex… there is a possibility that I can impregnate you when you’re the woman in our relationship?"
Legolas smiled and then he let his singing laughter sound, though just as quickly he collected himself and continued. "Yes, every time there is a possibility, though as an elf, I can control it more, and if there is to be a possibility, there has to be a special bond between us. Elves do not have many children, and there are often many years in between them."
Will breathed out, and Legolas could not say if it was for fear that he had made Legolas pregnant, or he thought they missed that special bond. Legolas thought he had kept his love enough on edge, so he took hold of Will's hands.
"What I am trying to tell you is… that the time we did spend together before we had to break up seemed to be enough to show the Valar that we have that special bond between two beings. They gave us a final gift to us and unbeknownst to me at our farewell, I carried that gift. You are the other half to our own Edhellô*, Aearion - son of the Sea."
"What are you saying? A gift?" Will looked really confused.
Legolas squeezed Will's hands. "A gift that is our son. You are a father."
"I have a son? Where is he? What does he look like? How much of you and me has he in him?" Everything seemed to come out at once when what Legolas had just told him sunk in.
"Please breathe." Legolas waited until Will had taken a few deep breaths. "I will tell you everything. We have a son who is half man and half an Edhellô, so he can live both in the water and to some, looks like a girl too. He looks like me, but has your brown eyes. As to where he is, that also answers your question of what I am doing here. He is in a place called Hogwarts."
"Hogwarts? I have never heard of it. Is it really in this world?" Will looked directly at Legolas.
Legolas could see that Will was quite shocked, and if the roles had been reversed, he would have probably been too. When Legolas had started he did intend to tell the whole story.
"Hogwarts is hidden from ordinary people and is better known by wizards. I was here to visit Aearion and his family."
"Wait, he has a family? How old is he?"
"He is probably older than he would have been in this world. He soon will pass 500 years. We were brought to Hogwarts to help out with things that were happening in their world that could have influenced this one. During that time, we became friends with some of the people there and Aearion fell in love with one of the merpeople. It led to him choosing to stay with her and about nine weeks ago, they became parents to a little girl."
"So that is why you are here?" Will asked but did not let Legolas reply as he continued. "I have a son and I also have become a grandfather?!"
At first Legolas took it to be a statement, but as Will kept remained silent he said, "Yes that is correct. We have a son that I named Aearion, because I see you as a man of the sea and it seemed to be right. I have wished for you to have been a part of our lives, for you to have seen your son grow up, and I have been so lucky that he has an elf's life essence, so I did not have to lose him too. He got all the love I would have given you, and having him made life easier to live."
"You can't believe how hard it been for me too. I missed you and believing that I would never see you again has not been easy. I have cursed a lot for what I saw as being unfair, so having you here now is unbelievable, like a wish fulfilled. Then you telling me that what I always thought would never happen has happened, it is fantastic." Will seemed awestruck. "When can I see him and my grandchild?"
"I think you know that answer better than me. I do not know how it works with…" Legolas paused, searching for the name of Will's ship.
"The Dutchman," Will filled in and nodded. "You said they lived in the water, which is close to the school?"
"Yes. The girl is still too small to be on land for long, and she is actually more like the merpeople than an edhellô, so she is even more in need of water."
"Then we can probably go as soon as I order us to. You know that The Dutchman can go wherever there is water." Will got up to dress and seemed very eager. Turning to Legolas he said, "Would you be able to travel with me? For how long will you be here?"
"Remember I am better than a fish in the water, so that will not be a problem. For how long I don't know. Maybe we can finally live together forever, as it seems like there is a lot that would hold me here. I'm sure we will discover all about it."
Will walked to Legolas and kissed her.
"Let's prepare the ship and crew and then we will go." Will kissed her again. "Thank you."
