"If I shall compare you to woman, I would say that you would be around eleven weeks. The nausea you feel from time to time hopefully will disappear soon, but then some have it all throughout pregnancy." The doctor told Viggo.
He just sat there trying to comprehend what he just had learned. Viggo wondered how he would tell Orlando what happened. He felt scared of his lover's reaction. He didn’t know how he actually felt about the baby.
"What I can do is congratulate you and hope everything will go well." The doctor continued, "What day of the week fit you best to have an appointment?"
"Today actually is good, as I haven't any lectures until after lunch." Viggo sat up straighter.
"Then I will fix it so that you have the same time every week for the coming months. We can talk more next time about what to expect and what might be needed. Go home and think about this. Take care."
Viggo got up to say good bye. He left the room and wandered aimlessly through the streets. If anyone asked what he seen on the way home, he wouldn't been able to tell them anything. It was lucky he knew the road well or maybe it would have been an accident.
He also did something he seldom did. He skipped the afternoons lecture. When he got home, the first thing he needed to do was to rush to the bathroom. Everything seemed to hit him in the face. He couldn't believe it. Even though he knew the results of the blood test and the ultrasound pictures, he still couldn't believe it.
When he calmed down some, he went to the kitchen to get anything to eat, but he closed the refrigerator door as fast as he opened it. There where nothing that tempted his stomach and he settled for only some water.
Viggo went to the living room and lay down on the sofa. He picked up a pillow Orlando often used and had his scent on it. He gently hugged it as his eyes closed.
He was lying on the sofa sound asleep when Orlando found him a few hours later. Seeing him there so relaxed made Orlando want to cuddle up with him. Orlando had tried to call him when he never had showed up but did not get an answer. He had been worried. He had hoped it wasn’t any horrible, as he knew Viggo had his meeting with the doctor.
Hesitantly he approached Viggo. He didn't want to wake him, as he needed his sleep, but he wanted to hear Viggo was fine. He let his hand hover over Viggo's body, but Orlando saw how peaceful he looked. He took the plaid blanket that hung on the back and put it over Viggo.
Orlando went out to the kitchen and decided he would try to make dinner for them. He could see that Viggo hadn't eaten anything and probably hadn't all day.
