Fall
The weather's gotten chilly, lately. And I'm working outside! The days are getting shorter, but I still haven't had much of a chance to spend time with Kenshin, Kaoru, Yahiko, or Megumi. I miss them, and time is starting to feel like its passing slower than usual. I hope they all get back, soon.
I see Tsunan pretty regularly--he's one of only a very few people who I know is still awake when I'm finally done working. He still rails about the damned Meiji government, but he's been talking more about the younger kids, lately. I know he wishes he could do something with them, he always looks like he's far away when we're talking and drinking late at night and conversation changes from these damned bastards to the kids who will never grow up swingind a sword. At least a man can still carry his fists.
I haven't even been to Akabeko, lately, so I still owe Tae.
I did see Tsubame the other day in the street.... she looks so grown up, now. I wonder if Yahiko is still interested in her. A boy's first love is always very amusing to his friends. I can see Yahiko settling down with a lovely little woman one day. Me, I'll never settle down! Besides, one woman could never handle Sagara Sanosuke all by herself! :-P
Hmf.... one good thing about all this work and no extra time is that I'm saving a lot of money very quickly. I want to throw a party for everyone, like the goodbye party I threw a while ago except this time I'll plan on staying around. We could have it at Akabeko, for old time's sake.
