Kitchen Reno = Feck

I am in the process of doing a relatively minor kitchen reno.

Short version: while my flat was well designed, it was constructed on the inexpensive side.  The countertops are starting to delaminate in places.  Also, my garburator died, and the sink was too big, really, for the space.

And so.  New (Ikea) countertops purchased.  New garburator purchased.  New sink and new tap purchased.  Demo done (which was easy enough and I've done it before).

Trouble is, the sink I ordered is not quite what I expected; it is not only too small (which I could live with - I can always go bigger) but the drain hole on the second bowl is non-standard and wont accept a garburator fitting without a great deal of futzing about.

Feck.

Right now, I need a different sink.  Meanwhile, I'm living in a torn apart kitchen with one leaky tap (cheap-assed shut-off valve) and I have a sink to return.

Not a good day...
