Weak

I hurt my back somehow and couldn't stay at work.  It hurt this morning and got worse, so by the time I reached my office I was clenching my teeth to keep from crying, which didn't even work.  I was so pitiful -- cringing in agony at my desk as I typed out an email that I was going home after collecting a few things.  I still had some muscle ( Read more... )

Oh honey, sorry to hear. But I am in solidarity with the muscle relaxants. Been eating them all week, when there is no place else I need to drive children to. (So, mostly at night.) I hope you see your doc and feel really better soon. Back pain is awful. Now, no more chastizing yourself, for today at least.

Why on earth isn't your doctor around now? Isn't there someone on-call who could write you a prescription so it doesn't hurt so much? Ouch!

I think she doesn't work on Wednesdays. One of the other doctors in her office called me back and offered to write a prescription, but I said I'd be OK for today and would talk to my actual doctor tomorrow, since at this point I'm doing all she prescribed the first time around (over the counter anti-inflammatories, muscle relaxers, and rest). But maybe I will actually need some more substantial pain medication because -- OW. :(

Oh, noes! Take care of yourself - you absolutely deserve to rest and recover, and hopefully you'll be feeling better soon.

*gentle hugs*

Thanks, Kit. I was resting on the floor tonight (the only way it was comfortable to watch TV) and one of the dogs leaped off the couch and landed on my stomach. Luckily I'd tensed my stomach muscles in time so the 75 pounds of airborne Chesapeake Bay Retriever didn't hurt much, but OH SO NOT WHAT THE DOCTOR WOULD ORDER!!! Resting does not include hyperactive dogs bouncing on me. :P
