Got a call from my brother. He's going away tomorrow, will be out of town for about a week (I think). My mother told him he should probably go food/liquid shopping before leaving because (and this is coming from my brother) "by the time he gets back all of the supermarkets in Orlando will be closed b/c of swine flu."
I am reminded of July 3rd, 2004, when my mother refused to go to the movies in NYC w/ me b/c she was convinced that the terrorists would be blowing up the subways.
I joke, but honestly, she does scare me sometimes. (clarification: I mean the fact that she truly believes this stuff, not that I take her paranoia seriously)
