Pet Peeve #97
You know when you're on the bus, and you have a window seat, and there's someone sitting next to you on the aisle seat? And your stop is next, so you say, very politely, "Excuse me, could you let me out, please?" And then instead of standing up to let you out, the person just swivels their legs into the aisle and expects you to slide past? Is that not the most lazy and inconsiderate thing ever? Tonight when this guy did it to me I glared and said, "That's incredibly rude," as I stumbled over his legs. However, he had earphones in so I doubt he heard me, and let's face it, I probably wouldn't have said it if I thought there was a good chance he would hear. Man, I loathe people sometimes. This is why everyone in Sydney is cranky and hates each other.
In an unrelated matter, after an ill-fated attempt to make Butterbeer last weekend (by mixing butterscotch schnapps with creaming soda, but it tasted a lot more like cough syrup than I remember from the last time we did it, for the PoA movie way back when) I now have a whole lot of butterscotch schnapps to use up. What else can I drink with it? I don't like Baileys, so dirty cowboys are out. It tastes okay with Sprite, but what else can I mix? Would I be crazy to try Coke?
